Andy represents 15 American-flag shipping companies and is General Counsel to the American Maritime Association, the organization that negotiates industry collective bargaining agreements for unlicensed seagoing personnel. In his three decades of experience, he has also worked with the airline, printing, construction and other industries. The author of numerous articles and papers dealing with labor and employment law, Andy also has lectured both to management groups and bar association committees. Areas of PracticeJoan’s concentration is employment and employee benefits law. Her practice includes collective bargaining, arbitration, employment policies and compliance, and employee benefit plans compliance. She is recognized for her knowledge of and experience with ERISA, the federal law governing employee benefit plans, as well as the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code governing qualified plans. She also serves as counsel to both single and multiemployer benefit plans. Joan has extensive experience in the maritime, garment and airline industries. She represents clients in matters before the Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service, and handles employment and benefits litigation before federal and state administrative agencies and courts.
