THE SUPREME COURT OPENS THE DOOR FOR BREACH OF
CONTRACT CLAIMS AGAINST INTERNATIONAL UNIONS:

The Supreme Court recently suggested that international unions may be sued for breach of contract even if the international is not party to the labor contract.

SAME-SEX HARASSMENT:

The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals dismisses a case against an “equal opportunity” harasser.

THE LILLY LEDBETTER FAIR PAY ACT:

The 3rd Circuit decides that this Act does not apply to claims of discriminatory promotions.

NON-DISCRIMINATION RULES FOR INSURED HEALTH PLANS:

The Health Care Reform Act eliminates the ability of insured health plans to discriminate in favor of highly-compensated individuals.
